Government Incentives

 

Who should participate?

People who work in leadership roles including supervisors, managers, leading hands, team leaders, and coordinators. The program is also ideal for emerging leaders to prepare them to transition into leadership roles.

 

How?

Leaders attend five two-day training workshops to learn and practice the leadership tools, and where possible, utilising their workplace policies, procedures, and systems. There is approximately six-weeks between each workshop to enable leaders to go back and apply these skills in the workplace.

 

Incentives:

 

Traineeship Payroll Tax Rebate (2 levels of rebate)

4% of wages over duration of one year traineeship e.g. $70,000 wage, subsidy could be approx. $2,800 rebate

6% of wages over duration of one year traineeship e.g. $70,000 wage, subsidy could be approx. $4,200 rebate

Wage subsidy for employers of Australian apprentices (Maximum of $7000 per quarter, or $28,000 over 12 Months)

New employees who commence a traineeship within 3 months of employment start date, e.g. new employee with a leadership role commences Cert IV Leadership and Management

Maximum of $7000 per quarter, per eligible apprentice, for wages paid in the 12-month period from the date they commence traineeship

Keystone (Formally the Tasmanian Building and Construction Industry Training Board)

Keystone will fund eligible business $3,000 incl GST per person to undertake our Leadership and Management Training, must meet eligibility and be in the building/construction industries etc

New Worker Employer incentives (Subject to eligibility via ANP will assess)

Commence traineeship within 3 months of start of employment

Up to $4,000 incentives, commencement $1,500 and completion $2,500

 

Apprentice and Trainee Grant for Small Business TAS (Mostly smaller Employers who don’t pay Payroll tax) Must be new employees who commence traineeship within 3 months of start date, up to $5000 subsidy
