BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management

Give your leaders the tools they need to effectively lead others and achieve your organisation’s
objectives in this practical, proven and nationally recognised program.

To achieve this nationally recognised qualification, leaders attend five two-day training workshops
to learn and practice the leadership tools, and where possible, utilising their workplace policies,
procedures, and systems. There is approximately six-weeks between each workshop to enable
leaders to go back and apply these skills in the workplace.

Who is this course for?

People who work in leadership roles including supervisors, managers, leading hands, team leaders, and
coordinators. The program is ideal for emerging leaders to prepare them to transition into leadership roles.

  • The skills, knowledge (the tools) and the confidence to be a good leader.
  • A nationally recognised qualification.

One day leadership and management series

Participants attend a one-day training workshop where a range of practical activities are
undertaken to learn and practice the WHS leadership tools. Assessment is completed during
the workshop with some referencing to on the job application, statements of attainment
issued upon completion.

Who is this course for?

People who work in leadership roles including supervisors, managers, leading hands, team
leaders, and coordinators. The one day workshop is also ideal for emerging leaders to
prepare them to transition into leadership roles.

Outcomes

This course provides participants with the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to
implement and monitor an organisation’s work health and safety (WHS) policies, and
procedures, to meet legislative requirements and ensure a safe workplace.

Mentor and coach to support team members

(Microcredential)

Give team members the practical training, simple tools and the confidence to effectively
mentor and coach others in the workplace. Participants attend a one-day, high-impact
training workshop to learn and practice key leadership, communication, mentoring and
coaching tools and techniques and then return to their workplaces to apply these techniques.

Who is this course for?

Workplace leaders and/or relevant employees who have responsibility to support, mentor and coach other employees in the workplace.

Outcomes

Participants will gain an understanding of key leadership and communication principles and
demonstrate these through the application of effective mentoring and coaching tools and
techniques. On successful completion of this course and assessment requirements learners
will receive a Certificate of Completion for this industry recognised microcredential.
